The ZeroTwo Settings dialog is your central control panel for personalizing the platform, managing security, configuring integrations, and controlling your data. Most changes take effect immediately without a page reload.

Opening Settings

There are two ways to open Settings from anywhere in ZeroTwo:
  1. Gear icon — click the gear icon at the bottom-left corner of the left sidebar
  2. Avatar menu — click your profile avatar at the bottom-left of the sidebar and select Settings from the menu
The Settings dialog opens as an overlay on top of the current page. Navigate between tabs by clicking the tab names in the left rail of the dialog. Close it by clicking outside the dialog or pressing Escape.
Most settings in ZeroTwo save automatically as you make changes. A few fields (such as custom instructions text) require clicking a Save button — these will show a save button when the field is active.

Security

Control the authentication and session security of your account.
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Enable TOTP-based 2FA using any authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.)
  • Backup Codes: Generate one-time recovery codes to use if you lose access to your authenticator app. Store these securely — they are single-use and regenerating them invalidates previous codes.
  • MFA Flow: ZeroTwo presents an MFA challenge when signing in from a new device or browser
  • Active Sessions: View all devices currently logged in to your account; log out individual sessions or all sessions at once (Logout All Devices)

  3. Click Connect and complete the OAuth authorization flow
  4. The connector becomes available when you type @ in the prompt bar

Skills

Skills are custom AI tools invoked with @skill-name in the prompt bar. They extend ZeroTwo’s capabilities with task-specific logic.
  • Official Library: Browse and install pre-built skills from ZeroTwo’s curated library
  • Custom Creation: Build your own skill with a name, description, and logic definition
  • GitHub Import: Import a skill directly from a public GitHub repository

Parental Controls

Restrict content types for shared or supervised accounts.
  • Enable safe-mode filtering to reduce the likelihood of mature content in AI responses
  • Set content restriction levels appropriate for your household
Parental controls apply a best-effort content filter. They are not a substitute for active supervision when the platform is used by minors.

Tasks

Configure behavior for ZeroTwo’s scheduled and background tasks.
  • View all currently active scheduled tasks
  • Configure notification preferences for when a task completes
  • Set the default timezone for task scheduling
  • Set default task behavior (for example, auto-save task output to a specific project)
