Chat Tools
Chat tools are toggled on or off using pills in the prompt bar. Enable a pill before you send your message to activate that capability for that turn.| Tool | What it does | When to use | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web Search | Real-time web access with inline citations and a Sources panel | Current events, fact-checking, company research, recent news | Free (1/day), Pro+ |
| Deep Research | Multi-step research engine → comprehensive Canvas report | Industry analysis, competitive intel, academic research, due diligence | Free (1/day), Pro+ |
| Canvas Mode | AI creates and edits rich documents, code, diagrams, and spreadsheets in a side panel | Writing, coding, structured data, visual layouts | All plans |
| Agent Mode | Autonomous multi-step actions across connected apps | Cross-app workflows, automation, scheduled tasks | Pro+ |
| Voice | Real-time voice conversation powered by WebRTC | Hands-free interaction, accessibility, brainstorming | All plans |
| File Uploads | Attach documents, images, audio, or video for AI analysis | Document Q&A, code review, transcription, image analysis | All plans (Free: 1/req, Pro+: 10/req) |
Multiple chat tools can be active at once. For example, enable both Web Search and Canvas to research a topic and immediately draft a structured document from the results.
Web Search
Toggle the Search pill in the prompt bar before sending your message. ZeroTwo fetches live web results, synthesizes them into a grounded response, and adds inline [1] [2] [3] citations. The Sources panel in the right sidebar shows every URL used. Use 8 focus modes — Auto, Company, Research, News, PDF, GitHub, Personal, LinkedIn — to narrow results to a specific domain or content type. Plan limits: Free = 1 search/day (resets midnight UTC). Pro and higher get significantly more.Web Search Overview

The final output is a structured Canvas report with an executive summary, topical sections, conclusion, and numbered sources. Typically takes 2–10 minutes. Plan limits: Free = 1/day.
